COLUMBUS, OH — Empower Battery Technology has received a Concept Contract award from Rev1 Ventures to advance the manufacturing readiness of its proprietary Glass Anode™ material. Empower is excited to continue building its partnership with Rev1 Ventures and is grateful for the organization’s ongoing support as the company works toward reliable, customer-ready production.

The six-month project will focus on establishing a repeatable, documented workflow for producing test-ready Glass Anode™ material. Activities will include dedicated laboratory capabilities, small-batch material production and milling, standardized operating procedures, batch traceability, quality-control testing, and electrochemical validation. The project will conclude with a manufacturing and validation report supporting customer evaluations and future prototype programs.

“This award supports an important step in Empower’s transition from validated battery-material science to reliable, customer-ready production,” said Natalie Cohen, CEO of Empower Battery Technology. “It will help us build the operating foundation needed to support customer testing and the company’s continued growth.”

Empower’s Glass Anode™ is designed to enable fast charging, strong cold-weather performance, and compatibility with conventional lithium-ion battery manufacturing. The Rev1 project will help the company translate those technical advantages into a consistent domestic materials platform for automotive, defense, and other demanding battery applications.
